Pujo Street Closure in Lake Charles Starting October 14
Lake Charles, Louisiana – The City of Lake Charles announced on October 11, 2022, that effective Friday, October 14, 2022, both lanes of Pujo Street between Ryan and Bilbo Streets will be closed to vehicle traffic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Businesses in the area will be accessible throughout the closure, and signage will direct drivers to suitable parking. Throughout the length of this project, City Hall (326 Pujo Street) will be accessible from the south side of the building during normal business hours.
This closure is being implemented to allow contractors to finish a waterproofing project on the façade of City Hall. After the day’s work is completed, the roadway will be reopened in the evenings and on weekends.
The closure is weather permitting and expected to last until 5 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022.
