Suspect Driver in November 2022 Wrong-Way Crash on I-49 Turns Herself In

Caddo Parish, Louisiana – The suspected driver in a November 2022 wrong-way crash on I-49 has turned herself in.

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator reported on February 27, 2023, that the driver suspected of being responsible for the November 6, 2022, wrong-way crash on I-49 near the Southern Loop turned herself in.

Gorgette Riley, 25, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center at 11:15 a.m. on February 27, 2023, after turning herself in on an outstanding arrest warrant for second-degree cruelty to juveniles and two charges of first-degree vehicular negligent injuring.

The warrant was issued following an inquiry into the severe crash on Interstate 49 near the Southern Loop on November 6, 2022, which left a child and two other drivers seriously injured.
