Lake Charles, Louisiana – Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana are set to host a diverse array of cultural events this weekend, offering residents and visitors alike numerous opportunities to engage with local arts, music, and community activities. From Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23, the area will showcase everything from live music performances to art exhibitions and family-oriented activities.

Friday kicks off the weekend with an impressive lineup of musical performances across various venues. Crying Eagle Brewing Company will feature “No City Limits UNplugged Live” from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, while Panorama Music House hosts the Hamilton Loomis Band from 9:00 PM until midnight.

For art enthusiasts, the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center offers multiple exhibitions including “Bloom Where You’re Planted,” “Cody Broussard Art Exhibition,” “LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Painting,” and “Exquisite Miniatures.” All exhibitions run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The Iowa Rabbit Festival at the Burton Complex represents a significant cultural event, featuring various artists performing from noon until midnight on both Friday and Saturday.

Saturday’s highlights include the Be Moore Festival in Downtown Lake Charles, running from noon until midnight. Music lovers can catch Neli + Dylan Live at Crying Eagle Brewing Company from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM or The Jason Radford Trio at Kaw-Liga’s from 8:00 PM until midnight.

For those seeking more participatory experiences, Saturday offers options like “Paint & Hangout” at the Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and “Yoga Under the Oak” at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum starting at 9:00 AM.

Sunday rounds out the weekend with several brunch options featuring live music, including the Sunday Fun Day Zydeco Brunch with Zydecane at Rikenjaks from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and jazz brunches at both Luna Bar & Grill Downtown and Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp.
