IRS Announces Delivery of COVID-19 Economic Impact Payments and Tool to Check Payment Status

The IRS has announced the delivery of COVID-19 stimulus payments as well as a tool to check your payment status.

On Saturday, April 11, 2020, The IRS announced that the delivery of Economic Impact Payments into bank accounts had started. They will continue to swiftly issue the payments in the days ahead.

On Monday, April 13, 2020, the IRS also announced that they are working on a tool that will help everyone check the status of their Economic Impact Payment, including the date it’s scheduled to be deposited or mailed. The tool will also help individuals confirm if their payment type is a direct deposit or check. If you find that bank account information has not been entered, the tool will allow you to enter bank account information if your payment has not been sent yet.

Those who do not typically file a tax return can follow this link to enter their payment information on the IRS website.
