In response to the open spillway gates at Toledo Bend Reservoir, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is vigilantly preparing for potential flooding in Calcasieu Parish. Currently, areas such as Alligator Park Road, Bass Lake Road, Fountain Cemetery Road, Jimmy Doyle Road in Starks, as well as Wright Road and Steward Road in Vinton, are experiencing some degree of flooding. To address any emergency situations or provide assistance to those in need of evacuation, the Sheriff’s Office has deployed high-water vehicles and boats strategically in the identified areas.
