Lake Charles, Louisiana – In response to the latest weather briefing, the Calcasieu Parish School Board (CPSB) has taken a decisive step to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff by announcing the closure of all CPSB schools and facilities for tomorrow, Monday, April 29.

The decision to close schools comes as a precautionary measure due to the unpredictable nature of the severe weather expected in the region. CPSB emphasized that this choice was made with the utmost concern for the well-being of the school community.

While disruptions to the normal school schedule are always inconvenient, CPSB reassured parents, students, and staff that their safety remains the top priority.

CPSB looks forward to resuming regular activities and welcoming students and staff back to campuses on Tuesday, April 30. In the meantime, they urge everyone to stay informed about weather updates and to prioritize safety until the situation stabilizes.
