Wanted Man From Louisiana Arrested in Wisconsin After Authorities Receive Reports of Shirtless Man Throwing Snowballs at Bystanders

Louisiana – On November 24, 2022, Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft announced the arrest of Ricky Ashworth, 27, of Leesville, Louisiana.

Officers from the Sheboygan (Wisconsin) County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office earlier on November 24 in regard to Ashworth. Officers from Sheboygan stated that they went to a report of a shirtless man in the street raising a commotion and hurling snowballs at bystanders.

Officers conducted a criminal history investigation after making contact with Ashworth and discovered that Ashworth was sought on warrants in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. The warrants are related to burglaries in the Burr Ferry, Louisiana area. Ashworth was arrested and put into the Sheboygan County Jail, where he will remain until he is returned to Vernon Parish. The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office also has warrants out for Nick Ashworth in connection with the same burglaries.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $500.00 reward for information leading to Nick Ashworth’s arrest and prosecution.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
