One Louisiana Burglary Suspect Arrested in Wisconsin for Causing a Disturbance, Another Turns Himself in

Leesville, Louisiana – On November 16, 2022, the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office said requested assistance from the public in locating Nick Ashworth, 30, (blue shirt in featured image), and Ricky Ashworth, 27, both of Leesville, Louisiana.

Both men were wanted on outstanding warrants for Burglaries and Unauthorized Entry of residences in Burr Ferry, Louisiana.

On November 24, 2022, Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft announced the arrest of one of the suspects.

According to reports, officers from the Sheboygan (Wisconsin) County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office on November 24 in regard to Ricky Ashworth, 27, of Leesville, Louisiana, and stated that they went to a report of a shirtless man in the street raising a commotion and hurling snowballs at bystanders.

Officers conducted a criminal history investigation after making contact with Ashworth and discovered that Ashworth was sought on warrants in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. The warrants are related to burglaries in the Burr Ferry, Louisiana area. Ashworth was arrested and put into the Sheboygan County Jail, where he will remain until he is returned to Vernon Parish. The Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office also has warrants out for Nick Ashworth in connection with the same burglaries.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
