Sulphur Police Seek Information After Deadly Hit-and-Run Incident Near I-10 Mile Marker 22

Sulphur, Louisiana - Sulphur Police are investigating the discovery of a body found this morning along Interstate 10, near mile marker 22.5, in what appears to be a fatal hit-and-run crash. The incident, which remains an active investigation, has prompted authorities to seek public assistance in identifying those responsible and gathering additional information.

Law enforcement responded after receiving reports of a deceased individual on the roadside early Wednesday. Preliminary details suggest the death was the result of a collision involving a vehicle that left the scene. Officials have refrained from releasing the victim’s identity, pending further investigation by detectives.

Hit-and-run incidents, where a driver fails to stop and render aid or provide information after being involved in a crash, are a significant concern for public safety.
