Sulphur Christmas Under The Oaks Returns December 4-6, 2025, With Parade, Vendors, And Live Music

Sulphur, Louisiana - The city of Sulphur will host its annual Christmas Under the Oaks festival from December 4-6, 2025. at Heritage Square and the Henning Cultural Center, featuring three days of holiday shopping, live entertainment, and family activities.

The event, presented by Sulphur Parks and Recreation, the City of Sulphur, and the Brimstone Historical Society, will kick off Thursday, December 4, at 6:30 p.m. with a Holiday House Preview Gala running until 9:30 p.m. Those seeking more information about the gala can contact 337-527-0357.

Friday's festivities begin at 10 a.m. when the Holiday House opens to shoppers, offering access to more than 30 local vendors. Entry costs $5 at the gate for Holiday House, and the marketplace will remain open until 8:30 p.m. The evening entertainment lineup includes a performance by Barbe High School Orchestra at 5:30 p.m., followed by Wayne Toups taking the stage from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at 8 p.m.

Saturday's schedule includes the return of the Holiday House from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Kiwanis Christmas Parade will travel down Cypress Street at 11 a.m. Families can participate in Cookies with Santa at the Care Help of Sulphur, Inc. Christmas Shop from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., which is free with Holiday House entry.

Musical performances throughout Saturday include the Sulphur High School Swing Choir at 1 p.m., the W.W. Lewis Show Choir at 3:30 p.m., Logan Soileau Music at 5 p.m., and John Foster at 7 p.m. The weekend will conclude with snow in The Grove at 8:30 p.m.

The 2025 festival will not have traditional carnival rides. After organizers were unable to secure a traditional carnival ride operator, Sulphur’s Christmas Under the Oaks is adding a new Community Christmas Sideshow this year. The three-day event represents a longstanding holiday tradition for the Sulphur community, bringing together local vendors, musicians, and organizations to celebrate the Christmas season on the grounds of Heritage Square.
