Sulphur, Louisiana — The 2025 Christmas Under the Oaks in Sulphur entertainment schedule highlights two days of live music, school performances, and the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

The annual event, held in the heart of Sulphur, is known for combining local talent with regional performers, offering family-friendly activities and a full lineup of musical acts.

Friday Night: Barbe Orchestra And Wayne Toups

The Friday entertainment schedule begins with a performance by the Barbe High School Orchestra at 5:30 p.m. The student musicians are expected to open the evening with orchestral selections that set a traditional holiday tone for the event.

Headlining Friday night, Wayne Toups is scheduled to take the stage from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Toups, known across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast for his high-energy blend of Cajun, zydeco, and country music, will anchor the main concert block of the evening.

In the middle of Toups’ set, the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony is planned for 8 p.m. The lighting typically serves as a centerpiece of the festival, drawing attendees toward the main stage area as the tree is illuminated for the holiday season.

Saturday: Local Choirs And Evening Performances

Musical performances continue throughout Saturday, with a focus on local schools and regional artists.

  • The Sulphur High School Swing Choir is scheduled to perform at 1 p.m. The group is expected to bring a mix of vocal arrangements that often include jazz-influenced “swing” styles and holiday selections.
  • At 3:30 p.m., the W.W. Lewis Show Choir will take the stage. Show choirs generally combine choral singing with choreographed movement, creating a more theatrical performance style.
  • Logan Soileau Music is set for a 5 p.m. performance, providing late-afternoon entertainment as the festival transitions into evening.
  • Rounding out the night, John Foster is scheduled for a 7 p.m. set, closing the published entertainment schedule with another live music performance.

Community Focus And Local Participation

The 2025 schedule places significant emphasis on student groups, with performances from Barbe High School Orchestra, Sulphur High School Swing Choir, and W.W. Lewis Show Choir. Their inclusion underscores the event’s continued role as a community platform for young performers and local arts programs.
