Update: Calcasieu Parish Welcomes Students Back as Schools Reopen Post Weather Concerns

The superintendents acknowledge that these late decisions have a significant impact on families, but they believe that assessing roadways and travel concerns in the morning will allow for a better decision. They understand the desire for an evening decision but emphasize the need to prioritize the safety of all stakeholders and provide high-quality education.

Announcements regarding the status of school tomorrow, January 25, 2024, will be made at 5 a.m. The superintendents apologize for the inconvenience and express gratitude for their patience and understanding.
