Moss Bluff Middle School Student Arrested by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for Possible Threat on Social Media

From the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office – September 17, 2019, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were notified in reference to a possible threat from a student that attends Moss Bluff Middle School.

During the initial investigation the CPSO School Resource Officer was advised by school personnel that students had informed them a 13 year old girl’s biography on her social media account stated, “I’ll be the next school shooter,” along with an emoji of a handgun. When detectives spoke with the girl she advised she had updated her biography about a month ago. She was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and is charged with terrorizing.

CPSO School Resource Officer Katie Hebert is the arresting deputy on this case. CPSO Detective Greg Jordan is the lead investigator on the case.
