The closure will span from Exit 7 to Exit 8 and will be in effect from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, until 9 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024. This closure is necessary for crews to perform shoulder reconstruction.

The first alternative route involves exiting onto US 90 at Exit 4 and heading North. From there, motorists should make a right turn onto US 90 going East and continue until reaching LA 27 in Sulphur. Once on LA 27, drivers can utilize the on-ramp to re-enter Interstate 10 Eastbound.
The second suggested alternate route is to exit onto LA 3063 at Exit 7 and proceed North. After that, drivers should turn right onto US 90 going East and follow the route until arriving at LA 27 in Sulphur. From there, they can access the on-ramp to re-enter Interstate 10 Eastbound.
