Singer, Louisiana – On January 4, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a single-vehicle fatality crash on Louisiana Highway 109 near Bearhead Road. This tragic incident resulted in the death of 42-year-old Jeromy Francis Ambrose, a resident of Leesville.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Ambrose was operating a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was traveling south on Highway 109. For reasons that remain unclear, the motorcycle failed to navigate a left-hand curve. Consequently, it veered off the roadway to the right and collided with a tree.
At the time of the crash, Ambrose was wearing a non-approved Department of Transportation (DOT) helmet, which did not meet the safety standards required for motorcycle riders. Tragically, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In accordance with standard procedures, toxicology samples were collected from the victim and are currently under analysis. This investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to determine the precise factors that led to this unfortunate incident.
