On April 24, 2023, the Baton Rouge Police Department reported that Homicide Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3600 block of Geronimo Street around 10:00 pm on April 23.
Kevineisha McDowell, 18, and a 27-year-old female victim were shot by a family member after having an argument. Kevineisha died at the scene. The 27-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities indicated that this is an ongoing investigation.
