Authorities in Louisiana Identify and Are Asking for Help Locating Suspect Who Fled the Scene After a Vehicle-Train Crash in St John the Baptist Parish
St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana have identified and are now asking for help locating a suspect who fled the scene after a vehicle-train crash in St John the Baptist Parish.
In an update regarding a driver who crashed into a train and fled on foot on March 27, 2023, in LaPlace, Louisiana, the St. John’s Sheriff’s Office reported that it has now identified a suspect. Authorities are now searching for Kendall Thompson, 43, of Luling, Louisiana.
The collision occurred on March 27, at about 2 a.m., along the railroad tracks at the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Milton Street.
Officers indicated that they believe Thompson may have been injured in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash or the whereabouts of Thompson to call Lt. Jared Seruntine at 985-359-8795.
A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
