Authorities in Louisiana Asking for Assistance in Gas Station Shooting Investigation

Ascension Parish, Louisiana – The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on November 16, 2022, that detectives are investigating a shooting incident that occurred outside of a gas station on Highway 73, near I-10, on Tuesday, November 15, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Authorities reported that when deputies arrived, there was no shooter or victim in the area.

Upon further investigation, detectives discovered that one female victim was hit by gunshots. She was treated at a nearby hospital. Because this is an ongoing inquiry, additional information may be limited at this time.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about this shooting to call the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office anonymously at 225-621-4636 or text 847411 to their anonymous tip line from any cellular device or call Capital Region Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867). Authorities indicate that in order to get a cash reward, you must contact Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
