Lake Charles, Louisiana - All lanes on the Interstate 10 Calcasieu River Bridge have reopened after a late-night crash shut down all lanes in both directions.

As of approximately 3:10 pm, all lanes were back open.

The closure affected traffic on one of the main routes through Calcasieu Parish and the Lake Charles area. The Calcasieu River Bridge carries I-10 traffic across the river and is a key link for local and regional travel.

The crash happened late March 6 and led to a full shutdown of the bridge in both eastbound and westbound directions. By Friday afternoon, traffic flow had partially resumed, though westbound drivers were still facing limited capacity with only one lane open.

More details about the crash are available in previously published coverage.
