Calcasieu Parish: Iowa Police Seek Public’s Help After Aggravated Assault With Firearm

Iowa, Louisiana - The Iowa Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect in an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred in Iowa, Louisiana, on August 3, noting the individual should be considered armed and dangerous. The department is asking anyone with information to call Iowa Police Detectives at 337-582-3636.

According to the department’s public notice, the suspect is described as a Black male with tattoos on his neck, arms, and legs. Investigators said he left the scene in what is believed to be a black hardtop Jeep, a sport-utility vehicle with a removable rigid roof. The department emphasized that the subject should be treated as armed and dangerous and urged residents not to approach him.

What Authorities Are Asking From The Public

  • Provide any information that could help identify the suspect, including name, address, and vehicle details.
  • Share doorbell or security camera footage from August 3 that may show a black hardtop Jeep in the area.
  • Report sightings of a Black male with visible neck, arm, and leg tattoos matching the description.
  • Do not attempt to confront the suspect; contact detectives at 337-582-3636.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
