4 Juveniles Arrested in Connection with January 23 Homicide in Lake Charles

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested four juveniles in connection with the January 23 homicide that took place at a Lake Charles Walmart.

 
From CPSO – January 23, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a grocery store on Highway 14 in Lake Charles in reference to a stabbing.
The initial investigation revealed there was a fight between several young girls inside the store, at which time a 15-year-old was stabbed. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
 
After further investigation detectives arrested four females, ages 14, 13 (2 girls), and 12. They were all booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. One is charged with 2nd-degree murder and three are charged with principal to 2nd-degree murder.
 
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at 491-3605.
 
*Note: Under normal circumstances, juveniles’ names and information are not released. The release yesterday was an unusual occurrence and was for the safety of not only the public but the juvenile in question.
