Westlake, Louisiana – The City of Westlake is gearing up to host its second annual Christmas at City Hall celebration, scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This festive event promises to be an entertaining day out for the entire family, featuring a range of activities such as a black pot cook-off, fun jumps for kids, and a holiday market with various vendors.

In addition to the fun activities, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy hot chocolate and meet Santa Claus, adding to the holiday cheer. The event aims to bring together members of the Westlake community and beyond, promoting a sense of unity and festive spirit.

According to Mayor Hal McMillin, the city is committed to improving the quality of life in southwest Louisiana, and this event is a step in that direction. The city has received significant support from LyondellBasell, a leading petrochemical company, which has pledged $75,000 over the next four years to help establish the holiday celebration.

LyondellBasell’s Lake Charles sites have already provided $25,000 for this year’s event. Armando Lara, Site Manager at LyondellBasell’s Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene Joint Venture Site, expressed his excitement about the partnership.
