Westlake, Louisiana — A 36-year-old Westlake woman is facing multiple charges following an incident that occurred Monday at a local business, according to the Westlake Police Department.

Authorities reported that on April 1, 2025, officers responded to a complaint regarding an adult female allegedly chasing a minor child with a firearm. The subsequent investigation identified the woman as Ardienne Doucet of Westlake, Louisiana.

According to police reports, Doucet entered a local business where she began “hollering and screaming” at customers, creating a disturbance. During the incident, investigators determined that Doucet allegedly burglarized a vehicle in the parking lot, stealing several items and leaving two firearms on the back seat of the vehicle.

Officers stated that Doucet also allegedly stole multiple items from within the business before leaving the premises.

During an interview with detectives, Doucet reportedly expressed embarrassment about the incident and admitted to consuming alcohol throughout the day prior to the events in question.

Following the investigation, Doucet was taken into custody and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. She faces several charges including aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated burglary, terrorizing, theft under $1,000, and disturbing the peace by public intoxication.

Detective Sergeant Michael Wright is leading the investigation, with assistance from Senior Corporal Dennis, Officer Henry, and Officer Montgomery of the Westlake Police Department.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
