Westlake Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect In Market Basket Theft

Westlake, Louisiana — The Westlake Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman suspected of stealing items from a local Market Basket store on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.

According to information released by the department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m., when an unknown female entered the Market Basket and took several items without paying. Police did not specify exactly what was taken or the total value of the merchandise.

Suspect Description Released

Investigators provided a detailed description of the suspect to assist the community in recognizing her:

  • White female, believed to be in her early 20s
  • Pink and red hair
  • Heavy makeup
  • Wearing a pink hoodie-style top
  • Wearing jeans

Police said the woman left the parking lot in a silver Toyota RAV4. No license plate information or additional vehicle details were provided in the initial public notice.

The Westlake Police Department did not report any injuries related to the incident and did not state whether the suspect was alone or accompanied by others.
