Westlake Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect In Horseshoe Casino Theft

Westlake, Louisiana - Westlake police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of stealing about $730 worth of items from the Horseshoe Casino event center early Feb. 25, 2026.

According to information released by the Westlake Police Department, the incident happened between 3:29 a.m. and 3:54 a.m. on the second floor of the casino, inside the event center.

Investigators said an unknown male suspect entered the area and stole miscellaneous items valued at approximately $730. Police said the items were placed into two blue suitcases.

The suspect was described as a white male with a beard. He was reportedly wearing khaki-colored pants, a blue long-sleeve shirt, and a dark-colored vest.

Police said the man then entered an elevator and later exited into the parking garage. From there, investigators believe he left the garage in a dark-colored SUV.

The Westlake Police Department has issued an attempt-to-identify notice, a public request for help identifying a person connected to an investigation.

Police said all information can be provided anonymously.

No additional details about the stolen items were included in the department’s notice.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
