From Westlake Police Department – On 12/16/2020, Westlake Detectives were called out to investigate the theft of two golf carts from the National Golf Course. During the investigation, detectives were able to locate where the two golf carts were taken and identified Michael Grundy and Zeboriah Hill of Westlake to be the subjects who stole the two golf carts. After interviews, Michael Grundy was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Sheriff Office Correctional Facility. A warrant was later issued for the arrest of Zeboriah Hill who was arrested for the warrant and booked into Calcasieu Sheriff Correctional Facility.

 

On 02/06/2021 Detectives followed up on a lead at a location where Michael Grundy and Ashley Dubose were hiding. Detectives with the assistance of CPSO located both Grundy and Dubose at the address where they were both transported to the Westlake Police Department for questioning. During the interview, Gundy confessed to attempting to steal two John Deere UTV’S last year from the golf course. Grundy also confessed to going to the golf course with other subjects on foot to look at the areas of the Golf Course where a subject had been stealing property from. Shortly after the night that Grundy and other subjects went to the golf course, property from the National Golf Course started being reported stolen.

 

Ashley Dubose was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Sheriff Correctional Facility for 1 count of Accessories after the fact.

 

Arrest warrants will be issued for the other suspects involved for Criminal Conspiracy for their involvement in planning the multiple thefts from the National Golf Course that have occurred.

These arrests come after a lengthy investigation and with the help of Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Office, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, and Johnson County Sheriff Office.

 

This investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are pending.
