Westlake, Louisiana - A 45-year-old Westlake man is facing multiple serious charges following a week-long investigation by the Westlake Police Department that began with a domestic violence report.

Douglas James Veillon, 45, of Westlake, Louisiana, was initially arrested on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, after police were notified of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on these charges.

The case expanded the following day when Veillon was charged with violation of a restraining order on Sept. 30, 2025. Police investigators continued their work on the case throughout the week.

During their investigation, police determined that Veillon had been observed on two separate occasions engaging in lewd acts with a stuffed doll while in the presence of a minor. This discovery led to additional charges being filed against the suspect.

On Oct. 6, 2025, Veillon was charged with two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. His bond has been set at $250,000.

The investigation was led by Detective Sergeant Wright, with assistance from Senior Corporal Lewis, Senior Corporal Dennis, Officer Piper, Officer Gaspard and Officer Henry.
