Westlake Man Dies After ATV Rollover Crash On Travis Street

Westlake, Louisiana – A Westlake man died following an all-terrain vehicle rollover crash on Travis Street on October 31, according to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident. Upon arrival, investigators discovered that a four-wheeler had overturned, ejecting the driver during the crash.

The driver, identified as Todd Walker, 39, sustained injuries in the rollover. Emergency responders transported Walker to a local hospital, where medical staff later pronounced him dead.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the ATV to roll over. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Officials noted that Walker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Sgt. Cody Fontenot of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is serving as the lead investigator on the case. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the rollover.

Acadian Ambulance and the Westlake Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene, providing emergency medical care and support during the response.
