Westlake, Louisiana - A 24-year-old Westlake man faces multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse following an investigation that began in mid-September, according to Westlake Police.
Pablo Oscar Anzaldo of Westlake, Louisiana, was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on seven counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of juvenile pornography. His bond was set at $1.1 million.
The investigation began on September 15, 2025, when Westlake Police received a complaint regarding carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Carnal knowledge of a juvenile is a Louisiana criminal charge that applies when an adult engages in sexual activity with a minor.
According to the preliminary investigation, Anzaldo was found to be having sexual contact with a minor and was in possession of nude photographs of a minor. During questioning by detectives, he reportedly admitted to having sexual contact with children and possessing photographs of children in underwear.
Detective Sergeant Wright served as the lead investigator on the case. Officer Dennis, Officer Lewis, Officer Piper, Officer Gaspard, and Officer Henry assisted with the investigation.
The charges against Anzaldo carry serious penalties under Louisiana law. Carnal knowledge of a juvenile is classified as a felony offense, with penalties varying based on the age difference between the defendant and victim. Juvenile pornography charges involve the possession, distribution, or production of sexually explicit material involving minors.
The Calcasieu Correctional Center is currently housing Anzaldo pending further legal proceedings.
