Westlake, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that there will be intermittent lane closures along the Interstate 10 South Service Road west of LA 378 (Sampson Street). These closures are set to occur from Monday, March 10, 2025, through Friday, March 14, 2025, each day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The purpose of these lane closures is to facilitate essential asphalt milling and overlay operations on the service road. Asphalt milling is a process that involves removing the top layer of asphalt to repair the surface beneath, which helps to improve the overall condition of the road. Following this process, a fresh layer of asphalt will be applied, ensuring a smoother and safer driving experience for motorists.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling in the area, as the lane closures may lead to temporary delays. Signs will be posted to alert drivers of the work zones, and they are encouraged to seek alternate routes whenever possible to avoid potential traffic congestion.
