Residents in Southwest Louisiana may hear flaring and loud noises beginning around 3:30 pm while a local chemical plant clears an ethylene pipeline.
February 7, 2021, at 3 pm Westlake Chemical South plant issued a notification indicating that they would be performing the process of clearing an ethylene pipeline beginning at approximately 3:30 pm the same day. Flaring may be seen and loud noises are expected in the area.
