Vinton, Louisiana - The Vinton Police Department has arrested a 25-year-old local resident on multiple serious charges following a sexual assault investigation that began September 17, 2025.

Gauge Anderson, 25 of Vinton, Louisiana, faces charges including First Degree Rape, Aggravated Battery, and Second-Degree Sexual Battery after police established probable cause during their investigation. Anderson was taken into custody on September 18, 2025, one day after the initial report was filed.

According to the police department's report, the investigation revealed that the victim suffered both sexual violence and multiple physical injuries during the incident. The case prompted an immediate response from law enforcement, who worked to gather evidence and identify the suspect.
