Vinton, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) has announced that there will be alternating lane closures on Interstate 10 Eastbound and Westbound in Vinton, Louisiana, on October 28 and 29, 2024.
The closures will take place from Exit 7 (Mile Marker 7) to Mile Marker 11, affecting both eastbound and westbound traffic. According to LADOTD, the closures will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 29.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to install new temporary striping on the highway. Temporary striping is a temporary solution to provide clear lane markings and guide traffic safely while more permanent repairs or upgrades are made.
Motorists traveling on I-10 in Vinton during these times should expect delays and plan their routes accordingly.
