Vinton, Louisiana - Motorists traveling on Interstate 10 in Vinton, Louisiana, should be prepared for lane closures in the coming days. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that the left lane will be closed on I-10 Eastbound and Westbound from Exit 7 (Mile Marker 7) to Mile Marker 11 on two separate occasions.

The closures are necessary to allow crews to move temporary concrete barriers. This process is an essential step in maintaining the safety and integrity of the road. Temporary concrete barriers are used to redirect traffic flow and protect workers during road construction and maintenance projects.

The lane closures are scheduled to take place on the following nights:

  • 7 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2024, until 6 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2024
  • 8 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2024, until 9 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024

During these times, motorists can expect delays and should plan their trips accordingly. It is essential to exercise caution when driving through the affected area, as the lane closure may cause some disruption to traffic flow.
