Vinton, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) has recently announced that there will be nightly alternating lane closures along Interstate 10 Eastbound and Westbound between the Texas State Line to Exit 7 (LA 3063) in the Vinton, Louisiana area. These closures will take place from Monday, December 18, 2023, through Thursday, December 21, 2023. The closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

The purpose of these lane closures is to allow crews to carry out essential temporary striping, soil work, and roadway maintenance. These maintenance activities are necessary to ensure the safety and smooth operation of this important stretch of highway.

Drivers who regularly use this section of Interstate 10 should be prepared for potential delays and plan their journeys accordingly. It is advisable to consider alternative routes or adjust travel times during the closure period to minimize inconvenience.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development encourages all motorists to exercise caution and adhere to all posted signs and speed limits when driving through the construction zone. By doing so, everyone can contribute to the safety of both the road workers and fellow commuters.

It is important to note that the scheduled closures are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather.
