Vinton Business Burglary Results in Arrest of Texas Man
Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on March 25, 2022, that on March 22, 2022, deputies were dispatched to a business on Highway 109 in Vinton, LA in reference to a burglary. During the initial investigation, deputies discovered that the suspect used a crowbar to break the glass on the business’s front door. Once inside, the suspect stole liquor, cigarettes, and an undisclosed sum of money from the register.
Deputies identified the suspect as Byron S. Stracener, 58, of Channelview, TX, after further investigation. On March 24, detectives issued a $27,500 arrest warrant for Stracener, which was signed by Judge Tony Fazzio, charging him with theft from $5,000 to $25,000, simple criminal damage to property, and simple burglary.
The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Stracener the same day for a burglary that occurred in Beauregard Parish. He was arrested and taken to the Beauregard Parish Detention Center.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Jill Feverjean is the lead investigator on this case.
