Video Gaming Expo and $15,000 “Esports Throwdown” to Take Place in Lake Charles October 21-22

Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Unified Esports Association announced that on the weekend of October 21 and 22, 2022, the Deuces Wild: Esports Throwdown event will take place at the L’Auberge Resort in Lake Charles, Louisiana, bringing area gamers a chance to battle for over $15,000 in cash and merchandise prizes.

Attendees can expect open gaming stations and activities on both classic and modern systems. Tournaments will be held on many platforms, with the venue providing all peripherals. Gamers are also welcome to bring their own gear, if they prefer.

The Unified Esports Association will conduct a two-day gaming expo within the Event Center in Lake Charles, complete with over a dozen gaming “quests” in which guests can engage for fun, as well as a handful of high-dollar esports tournaments for games like Call of Duty, Halo, and Super Smash Bros.

The event and tournament offers are centered around two-vs-two formats or second chance brackets – chosen titles will also have a second chance tournament, with twice the cash prize available on day two. Main stage events, such as Halo and Call of Duty, will award $5,000 cash prizes to the top three teams. In addition to providing the opportunity to compete on the big stage, a handful of matches will be aired live on the Unified Twitch channel, with a full broadcast team.

A robust prize shop and several giveaways powered by event partners such as Hyper X, BenQ Zowie, and the Lake Charles Toyota team will be available. Those interested in learning more about esports or connecting and gaming with others in the community are encouraged to attend. Military members and their families will be eligible for special discounts and promotions.

The event is open to the general public, and registration will be accessible both online and at the door on Friday and Saturday. Attendees must be 21 or older to enter the event.
