Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana - A vehicle towing a trailer with solar panels and components caught fire on I-49 in Louisiana.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office (NPSO) reported that NPSO Deputies, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #5, and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a vehicle fire on I-49 southbound around milepost 132 south of Natchitoches, Louisiana.

As authorities arrived on the scene, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.

A 2021 Ford F-150 towing a trailer loaded with solar panels and components was a total loss, according to deputies, but firemen from Fire District #5 were able to save the trailer.

The interstate was briefly stopped while firefighters battled a fire that had spread into the grassy median near the tree line.
