LSP suggests that is crucial to prioritize pedestrian safety when walking near or crossing roadways. To minimize crashes, pedestrians should always walk against traffic flow to enable them to anticipate approaching vehicles and respond accordingly. Furthermore, wearing brightly colored clothing or reflective gear during nighttime walks can significantly enhance visibility for drivers and reduce potential risks. These simple yet essential precautions play a vital role in safeguarding pedestrians and minimizing road accidents. In 2023 alone,
Troop C has investigated twenty-five fatal crashes so far in 2023 resulting in twenty-eight fatalities.
