Westlake, Louisiana - As of 3:20 pm, on October 17, 2023, traffic was still backed up and moving slowly on I-10 eastbound in Westlake near the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge. According to Louisiana DOTD and the Westlake Police Department, the congestion is caused by a truck and RV fire.
The fire has been extinguished, however traffic is still backed up to near the I-10/I210 interchange.
