Edgerly, Louisiana - A four-day construction project will partially close US 90 Eastbound in Edgerly, Louisiana, beginning Tuesday, September 16, 2025, affecting traffic flow in the area through Friday afternoon.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has scheduled roadwork that will close the right lane of US 90 Eastbound from approximately 0.05 miles west of Fabacher Road to 0.05 miles east of Fabacher Road. The construction work will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from September 16 through September 19, 2025.

During the scheduled construction hours, drivers traveling eastbound on US 90 through Edgerly will encounter a partial lane closure affecting the right lane. Traffic will be maintained in the left lane, though motorists should expect potential delays and reduced speeds in the work zone.

The construction zone spans a relatively short distance of approximately 0.1 miles centered around Fabacher Road.

Motorists planning to travel through Edgerly during the construction period should allow additional travel time and exercise caution when approaching the work zone.

US 90 serves as a major east-west transportation corridor in southwestern Louisiana, connecting communities and facilitating both local and regional traffic movement. The highway carries significant daily traffic volumes, making any lane restrictions notable for area residents and through-travelers.

Construction crews will maintain the work zone with appropriate signage and traffic control measures to guide drivers safely through the affected area. Motorists should remain alert for construction workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns while traveling through the zone.

The project is scheduled to conclude by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, after which normal traffic flow on both lanes of US 90 Eastbound is expected to resume. Weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances could potentially affect the construction timeline.

Area residents and regular commuters may want to consider alternate routes during the construction hours or adjust their travel schedules to avoid the affected time periods.
