Sulphur, Louisiana – As the Christmas season approaches, preparations are underway for the highly anticipated Christmas Under the Oaks Festival in Sulphur. To ensure a smooth and safe setup for this festive event, several road closures have been announced.
Starting Wednesday, November 29th, at 12:00 pm, Ruth Street, from Cypress Street to Pecan Street, will be closed to through traffic. However, local traffic will still have access to the area.
On the evening of Wednesday, November 29th, at 7:00 pm, Cypress Street from Ruth Street to Huntington Street will also be closed.
Furthermore, Huntington Street, from Tamarack Street to Cypress Street, will be reduced to one lane. The shoulder lane heading North down Huntington Street will be closed as well.
These closures will allow for the setup of additional festival amenities, ensuring a delightful experience for all attendees.
These road closures will be in effect until Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. Festival organizers urge motorists to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate potential delays during this period.
