Unrestrained Toddler Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash, Witnesses Claim Vehicle was Driving Erratically at a High Rate of Speed

Caddo Parish, Louisiana – An unrestrained toddler was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Louisiana. Witnesses claim the vehicle was driving erratically at a high rate of speed.

On March 24, 2023, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a crash that killed an unrestrained toddler.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office dispatchers were notified about the accident in the 8900 block of Belcher Oil City Road in Caddo Parish at 4:15 p.m., according to authorities. According to deputies, witnesses claim that the unidentified female driver of this Ford F-150 truck was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed on the roadway traveling east. They claim the vehicle went off the road and hit numerous trees before coming to a stop.

At the scene, the unrestrained toddler was pronounced dead. The female driver suffered moderate to serious injuries and was transferred to Ochsner LSU Health.
