Unrestrained Louisiana Woman and Unborn Child Killed in Crash on LA 505

According to Louisiana State Police, on July 19, 2022, at approximately 1:50 p.m., LSP Troop E responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 505 south of Louisiana Highway 126. Bronwyn D. Chandler, 32, and her unborn child were killed in this crash.

Chandler was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry north on Louisiana Highway 505, according to the preliminary investigation. Chandler’s vehicle went off the road and hit a tree for unknown reasons.

According to Louisiana State Police, Chandler was unrestrained at the time of the crash, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She and her unborn child were later pronounced dead.

A toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis.

Troop E has investigated 21 fatal crashes so far in 2022, resulting in 22 deaths.
