Eunice, Louisiana - A 65-year-old Eunice man died Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 190 at Beck Miller Road in St. Landry Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.

Troopers from State Police Troop I responded to the incident around 4:30 p.m. on December 15, 2025. The crash involved a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup truck and a 2014 Peterbilt commercial truck.

Investigators said the Ford F-250, driven by 65-year-old Glenn Thibodeaux of Eunice, was traveling west on LA 190. At the same time, the Peterbilt was traveling east on the same highway.

For reasons that remain under investigation, State Police reported that as the Ford attempted to turn left onto Beck Miller Road, it failed to yield to the oncoming Peterbilt. The eastbound Peterbilt then struck the Ford.

Thibodeaux, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

The driver of the Peterbilt, who was properly restrained, suffered minor injuries. That driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, State Police said.

As part of standard procedure in fatal crashes, troopers collected toxicology samples from the drivers. Those samples have been submitted for analysis to determine whether impairment played any role. Results have not yet been released.

Louisiana State Police said the crash remains under investigation. No further details, including any potential citations or charges, have been announced.
