Unrestrained Louisiana Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash After Colliding with Tree on the Side of LA 1061 in Tangipahoa Parish

Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana – A man from Louisiana who was not restrained was killed in a single-vehicle crash after colliding with a tree on the side of LA 1061 in Tangipahoa Parish.

On June 23, 2023, Troopers from Troop L responded to a single-vehicle incident on LA 1061 at Hayden Road in Tangipahoa Parish soon after 12:30 a.m. Keith Harrison, 21, of Kentwood, Louisiana, was killed in the crash.

Harrison was driving a 2008 Dodge truck south on Louisiana 1061 at Hayden Road, according to the preliminary inquiry. Harrison’s vehicle veered off the right side of the road and collided with a tree for unknown reasons.

Harrison was not restrained at the time of the incident, and he died as a result of his injuries. Harrison’s impairment is unknown, and normal toxicology findings are awaited.
