Unrestrained Louisiana Man Killed in Early Morning Crash on LA 431
Louisiana – According to Louisiana State Police, Troopers from LSP Troop A responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on LA 431 near Valentine Road in Ascension Parish shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2022. Michael Charles Wisecarver, 32, of Kenner, Louisiana, was killed in the crash. According to the preliminary investigation, the crash occurred as Wisecarver was driving a 2020 Ford F-150 southbound on LA 431, approaching a right-hand curve. Wisecarver failed to negotiate the curve and ended up on the wrong side of the road. The truck overturned after leaving the road and colliding with a ditch embankment.
At the time of the accident, Wisecarver was unrestrained. He was thrown from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries. A blood sample will be taken for scientific analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
