Catahoula Parish, Louisiana - A fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 425 at Grayson Road took the life of 43-year-old Joshua Boies of Wisner, Louisiana, on June 30, 2025, at approximately 4:54 p.m. Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to the two-vehicle incident, which involved a 2022 Ford F-150 and a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Boies.
According to the initial investigation, both vehicles were traveling northbound on LA 425 when, for reasons still under review, Boies failed to slow down and rear-ended the Ford F-150. The impact caused the Corolla to leave the roadway and overturn, ejecting Boies from the vehicle.
Boies was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries, resulting in his death at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150, who was properly restrained, was not injured.
Authorities collected and submitted a toxicology sample for analysis as part of standard procedures in fatal traffic incidents. The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine the exact cause and contributing factors.
Louisiana State Police continue to emphasize the importance of seat belt use, noting that unrestrained occupants are at significantly increased risk of severe injury or death in roadway crashes.
