Unrestrained Louisiana Driver Killed in Nighttime Single-Vehicle Crash on LA 57
Houma, Louisiana – An unrestrained Louisiana driver was killed in a nighttime single-vehicle crash on LA 57.
On March 17, 2023, Louisiana State Police (LSP) stated that LSP Troop C was notified of a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 57 near Express Boulevard on March 16, soon after 10:00 p.m. Tyrone Singleton, 37, of Gibson, Louisiana, was killed in the crash.
According to preliminary investigations, Singleton was driving a 2007 Infiniti G35 north on LA Highway 57. The Infiniti crossed the centerline on a curve for unknown reasons, drove off the road to the left, struck a utility pole, and overturned.
Singleton, who was not secured at the time of the incident, was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.
A standard toxicology sample was collected from Singleton and submitted for analysis. This crash is still being investigated.
