Unrestrained Louisiana Driver Killed in Morning Crash After Vehicle Hit Guardrail and Overturned on LA 3127

St. Charles Parish, Louisiana – An unrestrained Louisiana driver was killed in a morning crash after a vehicle hit the guardrail and overturned on LA 3127.

On April 12, 2023, Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported that around 3:00 a.m., Troopers from Troop B responded to a single-vehicle crash on LA 3127 near I-310 in Boutte, Louisiana. Donnie Daigle, 32, of Napoleonville, Louisiana, was killed in the crash.

The initial inquiry found that Daigle was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado south on LA 3127 near the I-310 north exit. Daigle’s vehicle reportedly went off the road and hit a guardrail before overturning for unknown reasons.

Daigle, who was not restrained at the time of the incident according to police, was ejected from his vehicle. Daigle suffered significant injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. Daigle’s impairment is unknown, and regular toxicological findings are awaited.
